When you pick one
We book it, then the €9 is charged
The assistant rings your chosen oil supplier to book, and a person at Tankful checks every booking. If none of the prices suit, don’t pick one: nothing is booked and the €9 is released.
The oil supplier sells you the oil and delivers it. Tankful doesn’t sell oil or take payment for it. We only charge the €9 for ringing round and booking.
€9 is reserved on your card now and charged only when the oil supplier confirms your booking, released automatically if nothing is booked, and refunded if they don’t deliver and won’t rebook.
You pay the oil supplier directly for the oil, their way (card on the phone, card to the driver, cash or bank transfer), at the confirmed price including VAT and delivery.
We ring oil suppliers Monday to Friday, 9:30 to 12:30 and 2 to 4:30. Never at lunchtime, in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays.

Who makes the calls?
An automated assistant working for Tankful. It tells every oil supplier at the start of the call that it’s automated, and it never asks anyone for card details. A person at Tankful checks every booking.
Who do I pay for the oil?
You pay the oil supplier directly for the oil, their way (card on the phone, card to the driver, cash or bank transfer), at the confirmed price including VAT and delivery. Each price shows how that supplier takes payment, and the supplier may ring you from their own number to take it. Our €9 covers the ringing round and the booking.
When is the €9 taken?
€9 is reserved on your card now and charged only when the oil supplier confirms your booking, released automatically if nothing is booked, and refunded if they don’t deliver and won’t rebook. It’s the same fee however soon you need oil.
How quickly will I hear back?
We ring oil suppliers Monday to Friday, 9:30 to 12:30 and 2 to 4:30. Never at lunchtime, in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays. A morning request usually has prices within about 2 hours. A later one has prices by about 11:30 the next working day.
Will oil suppliers ring me?
No. While we ring round, suppliers hear only your area, the oil, how much and when. Only the oil supplier you book gets your Eircode, mobile and delivery notes.
What if none of the prices suit?
Don’t pick one. Cancel on your page and nothing is booked. The €9 is released.
What if the oil doesn’t arrive?
Tell us. If the oil supplier can’t deliver and won’t give you a new day, we refund the €9.
What if I’m about to run out?
Choose “Nearly out” on the form and we ask each supplier for their earliest day. If you run out before we get back to you, compare local oil suppliers and ring the one with the earliest delivery.
