Dated quantity example · 5 September 2026

Compare the order size you actually need

At 08:58 UTC on 5 September, Kenny Fuels’ public Wicklow kerosene variations showed three different unit costs. Each quantity was observed separately; the smaller orders were not estimated from a 1,000L price.

Historical Kenny Fuels Wicklow kerosene observations, 5 September 2026 at 08:58 UTC
Order sizeObserved totalPer litre
300L€458.00€1.5267
500L€735.00€1.4700
1,000L€1,424.00€1.4240

A larger fill had a lower unit cost in this example, but required a larger total payment. This is one supplier, one county and one observation time. It does not establish the cheapest supplier, a market average or a price change over time.

These historical website prices are not current offers, completed sales or guaranteed delivery quotes. Confirm the address, product, total and delivery terms with the supplier. No supplier endorsement or partnership is implied.

Attribution and independence

Aggregate release tables may be quoted with attribution to Tankful and a link to the dated release. Oil suppliers cannot pay to rank above cheaper or fresher results. Tankful may earn supplier fees after delivered sales or for supplier services; that commercial model does not change the published index method.

A clean reporting workflow

What to take from a release

1. Quote the dated figure

Use the midpoint for the exact order size and name the seven-day window. Link to the permanent dated issue.

2. Keep the denominator

Report the number of observations and counties represented. Coverage can change from one issue to the next.

3. State what it is

These are validated publicly displayed prices—not completed transactions, official statistics or guaranteed quotes.

Questions the data can answer

  • What was the observed midpoint for a 300L, 500L or 1,000L order this week?
  • Did that midpoint rise or fall against the preceding seven-day window?
  • How wide was the observed price range, and what were the median daily Q1 and Q3 bounds?
  • How many observations and Irish counties supported the release?

For analysis beyond those published aggregates, email the desk with the issue date, the figure you plan to use and your deadline. We will say plainly when the public data cannot support a claim.
